Join us with numerous recycling initiatives to do our part in taking care of the Earth. You may bring in items to recycle during all business hours.

  • Plastic Bags | Trex
    • Trex is proud to sponsor local recycling programs in universities and communities throughout the country. If your team can collect more than 500 pounds of plastic refuse in a six-month span (about 40,500 plastic bags), we’ll donate a high-performance composite bench to your school or community.

    • Challenge begins January 1st and ends June 31th. 

    • What you can recycle: grocery bags, bread bags, case overwrap, dry cleaning bags, newspaper sleeves, ice bags, wood pellet bags,ziplock & other re-sealable bags, produce bags, bubble wrap, salt bags, and cereal bags. All materials must be clean, dry and free of food residue.

    • Cellphones with or without the battery

    • Rechargeable Batteries:

      • Lithium Ion (Li-Ion, Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd, Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH, Nickel Zinc (Ni-Zn), Small Seal Led Acid (SSLA/Pb), Single-use (such as alkaline), AA, AAA, 9V, C, D, Button Cells, Lithium primary
    • Drop off materials in the Call2Recycle box at the Library.
  • Ink Cartridges | Funding Factory
    • The Sandwich Library collaborates with Funding Factory to function as a center where you can recycle your used ink cartridges. Please note that not all ink cartridges may be accepted.
