We're Fine Free!

Patrons who check out and return library materials from the Sandwich Public Library District will not be charged fines even if the item/s are overdue. However, if items are still not returned after 3 overdue notices have been sent via email/mail, a replacement cost will be billed for the missing items.

Patrons have 10 days from the billed date to return items, or they will be sent to collection. If items are returned within the 10-day window, the replacement cost will be eliminated. If materials are returned after the 10-day window, the replacement cost will be eliminated but patrons will owe a $10 collection fee. If materials are not returned at all, the replacement cost will remain on the account until it is paid.

Please note that fines over $10.00 will restrict access to library services such as digital collections and checking out materials.
