This is a comprehensive list of upcoming and recurrent programs for adults. Online registration is offered via web calendar. You may also register in-person, or by phone at 815-786-8308. Registration is not required for programs unless noted; however, you may choose to register for any program if desired.

Please note: If programs that require registration do not reach minimum capacity 48 hours before scheduled date, the program may be cancelled. If such a situation occurs, you will be notified by phone prior to original program time.

Easter Card Making
April 8th | 6:30pm | $5
Leave a treat from the Easter Bunny for your friends and family this season by creating Easter-themed cards! Each participant will create five cards. Class taught by master paper-crafter Jennifer Boring. Ages 16+. Class costs $5. Program is first come first serve while supplies last!

From Sheep to Chic
April 16th | 6:30pm
Join artist Natasha Neher Lewis as she shares her story from how she went from raising sheep to opening a fiber arts studio. Program includes spinning demos and a participatory wet and needle felting demo.

Eco-Fest
April 22nd | 10:00am – 12:00pm
The library is partnering up with the Sandwich Park District to celebrate Earth Day & Arbor Day! Meet at the Park District to watch a tree planting, learn about the environment, complete nature crafts, and more! For more information, call the Sandwich Park District.

Genealogy Club: Ancestry Database

Join us for our monthly genealogy club meeting! This month Amy Vidlak-Girmsheid will teach how to use the Ancestry database accessible through the library!

Adult Painting Class
April 30th | 5:30pm | $10
Join Michelle Shepard from the Petite Palette for a special Spring-themed adult watercolor bookmark painting class! There are only ten available spots, so be sure to register early! Payment must be made at time of registration; cash or checks. Checks should be made payable to Sandwich Public Library. Class costs $10 per person.

Adult Craft Night

Feeling crafty? Come to Adult Craft Night!  All materials will be provided. The program takes place the first Tuesday of every month. Ages 16+. Registration is required and available online or at the library. There are only ten open spots due to material provisional restraints, so make sure to register early! Registration required. Reader's Haven Book Club

Come enjoy a lively discussion about the month’s club pick! Copies of the club books are available in regular, large print, and audio formats to everyone. Art Therapy 
3rd Mondays | 10:30am
De-stress & relax by enjoying a hour filled with relaxing music, camaraderie, and a varying  art styles. Be free with what you create, there are no themed projects, just themed supplies.

Chess Club
2nd Wednesdays | 6pm

3rd Thursdays | 1pm
Challenge your peers with a good, old-fashioned game of chess. Group is open to all skill levels. There is no instruction. Just come on in, find a seat and start playing. Three chessboards will be provided, but feel free to bring your own!

Filmology 
3rd Saturdays | 1:00pm | Movie
4th Thursdays | 6:30pm | Discussion
Join us for our new movie club! Step 1: Watch the movie. Step 2: Discuss with peers! There will be a monthly showing of each film. In case you miss it, copies will be available at the circulation desk for checkout. Note: Discussion dates are separate from showing dates*

The Recycling Hour 
4th Saturdays |  12pm
The library is going green! We recycle numerous items such as plastic bags, ink cartridges, batteries and more. You may recycle items here at any time, but the hour from 12-1pm on the 4th Saturdays is dedicated solely to recycling! Click here for info on what we recycle.
